“You’re kind of missing the point here. Immersion is entirely up to the viewer. Marble Hornets nearly ruined their immersion by posting a link to their DVD straight on their Twitter page. People raged, sure, but they ignored it because it really didn’t matter, they cared more about the content of the series. But, unlike them, I’m not the one who lead you to this page, like they did with their DVD link. Any sensible person can dismiss the creepy videos as fake, but one should be willing to pull some suspension of disbelief for them. You have to believe they are real regardless of all the signs of being fake, that’s what made films like the Blair Witch Project great. If I completely ruined TribeTwelve for you because of this, you’re viewing it wrong. I tell the fans that I am the creator because I love giving back to the fans with extra, behind the scenes content like this. Feel free to not finish watching the videos, despite the fact the the newer ones are the the better ones, I’m not forcing you to. You’ll just be missing out on some great story. Contrary to popular belief, having a series like this is not about how real it is, but about the story it is conveying, very much like a good book. Just like if you know the person who writes the book, every time you open the book it doesn’t mean you’re not going to enjoy the story inside. You open and read it because you’re willing to believe that the world created by the book is real for the time you’re reading, even if you know that world’s creator.”
